My girl LOVES animals so I have been dying to take her to the Zoo. We finally got around to it a few weeks ago and went to a Zoo/Aquarium nearby. Norah loved being there but surprisingly didn't care as much about the animals as she did about playing in the dirt and rocks around the exhibits. Of course she loved the animals too, but only if she got to get close and/or touch them.

The Walrus exhibit was our favorite. They were putting on quite a show for us as they would swim from one side of their pool to the other and each time they'd come up they would spray out their mouths at us. Ugly creatures, but Norah sure thought it was exciting.
We had sticks with bird seed on them to try and get the birds to land on our sticks. Ben finally got a bird to come to him but it was so hot and Norah was very impatient so we didn't spend much time here. Fun trip to the Zoo, but perhaps next time we should just find a petting zoo for Norah :) I loved watching the elephants though, and the monkeys! We didn't get any pictures of the Monkeys because we were too entertained watching them swing around in front of us, they put the best show!

Awe! So cute! I need to get my kids to the zoo too. Looks like you guys are settling in nicely to the great Northwest! ;)
We took the girls to the Point Defiance Zoo last year too and they loved it, especially the Budgie Birds spot.
I have always loved the zoo, but somehow having kids has made the zoo 100 times more fun and exciting!! We bought a zoo pass this year and I plan on going often this summer. That is so cute that Norah isn't afraid of animals!!
